Mission Tango by Charles Z. David6/10/2023 The story is entertaining and engrossing, but somewhat uneven. It is definitely worth readg, but I may not return.Ī triumvirate of splendid mystery thrillers The plot has several interesting twists that prevent the worst of the terrorist acts from occuring. As the terrorists target cultural treasures, they are described in detail and their import stated. The action moves through Europe, America, Mexico, Russia, and the Balkans. The plot is imaginative and interesting, although the narrative becomes a little preachy when detailing the impact of Islam. The terrorists are opposed by a small team from Mossad that gets reintroduced and described in detail each time they appear. Every acronym is spelled out each time it is used. The style of writing is straightforward, but suffers from extreme repetition. All the characters seem to have super powers of some kind, and a limit on morals. Le Docteur is presented as an extremely handsome man who plows his way through a wide variety of willing females. the leader,"Le Docteur," continues through the books, picking up a lover in the second who is an experienced and capable pilot, among other things. The terrorist acts are different in each of the books in the series, and the continuing characters are a small group. This series covers the activities of a small terrorist group called 'Nemesis." It follows the various acts of violence triggered by a leader who seeks to prove his thesis that a small group can influence the entire world.
